History The Uniform Place opened its doors in 1971 after a mother of five was disappointed with her first uniform shopping experience. She waited three months for her order, thought she paid too much, and felt no one at the store responded to her concerns. As a result of this unpleasant experience, she started her own school uniform business. Over the past 30 years, The Uniform Place has grown to serve over 150 schools all over the state of Wisconsin. It is still family owned and operated with the same commitment to quality products and friendly service at a reasonable price.

Products We are your full service, one stop uniform store. From traditional plaid skirts and jumpers to seasonal outerwear, we carry a full array of boys and girls shirts, sweaters, pants and shorts in true uniform colors. We can even complete the look with belts, socks and hair accessories. At The Uniform Place, we know kids come in all shapes and sizes. An important part of our high quality customer service is being able to provide the sizes you need when you need them. We understand that your time is very important and that a knowledgeable staff and an available inventory will help keep you on schedule. That is why we carry the largest range of sizes in Wisconsin; including slim, husky, prep, junior, half sizes, and more.

Quality Our supplier for jumpers and skirts is the Dennis Manufacturing Co. They have been manufacturing uniforms since 1920 and enjoy a fine reputation for quality and service. Other uniform accessories such as boys and girls pants, sweaters and knit shirts are supplied by School Apparel, a manufacturer that has consistently provided us with a durable, economical and dependable product. School Apparel is a clear leader in the industry of manufacturing school uniforms. At The Uniform Place, we believe that the products of these two companies compliment our desire to provide our customers with the highest quality products available at a reasonable price.

Convenience The Uniform Place carries school uniforms in stock throughout the year, unlike many stores that stock uniforms only during the "back to school season". We are open six days a week all year because we know kids grow and Wisconsin weather changes daily. We welcome phone orders on our toll-free phone line. Orders are normally shipped via UPS in just a day or two! For schools outside the Milwaukee area, we send our staff to the schools with size ranges of the clothes to try on. The orders are then shipped home during the summer.
